MFD - Never Pour Gas on a Camp FIre

Moncton Fire Department Platoon Chief say and I quote: "Never pour gas on a fire, ever." Called to a grass fire that started as a series of events occurred following a small contained campfire. The fire jumped back on the resident's leg, the "Stop Drop & Roll" resulted in a grass fire while the 5 gallon gas container rolled near a parked vehicle. Fredericton Singer Songwriter Kurtis McAllister featured in "Terrific Teens"

Leo Hayes High School student Kurtis McAllister, just 17, was recently featured in Fredericton's Daily Gleaner. The singer, songwriter and accomplished musician has written and recorded over 100 tracks and has performed at last year's Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival.

Burtts Corner Cow Path

With the appearance of pot holes and nature's speed bumps, during Spring in Atlantic Canada, I'm reminded of the old "Burtts Corner Cowpath" aka Route 104 between the Mouth of Keswick and Burtts Corner. The phrase coined, by Dale Bird, and the song was inspired by a road full of pot holes just outside Frederiction, NB back in the 1970s.




The video shows a beehive of activity during an outdoor Zumba party in Lachine. To avoid copyright issues, we\ve swapped the audio with a remix of 1973 Boom Boom Brothers tune; "Burtts Corner Cowpath".

Maple Sugar Festival

Hey. all you Burtt's Corner natives should be somewhat familiar with the spring maple sugar experience. If not, I've put up a Reader's Digest version of an operation here in Moncton.
